Metamorphosis For Spring

Well, spring time has offcially begun, and it's been so warm, so I've given up wearing coats.  I was wearing a vintage Vivienne Westwood sweater and Hollister cargo pants.  That was sufficient!  In fact, I was sweating a bit.
But, I cannot let myself down just because it's gotten warm.  Therefore, I decided to go shopping for something "spring" like for 2 good reasons.  First, I just got payed.  Secondly, I should enjoy spring though it isn't my favorite season.

I was resting in a shopping mall, observing people, and thinking what things to buy.  After sitting there for about 10 minutes, I saw a young lady wearing a shirt with flower print and a metal necklace.  Then I thought that outfit was properly spring!
I was all over the mall searching for flowery shirts and metal necklaces.  Again, I was facing the same kind of diremma.  I wasn't able to find anything in reasonable price range, and I couldn't afford the things I liked.  I spent nearly 2 hours for nothing.  I headed for some shops in town with a little hope.
Finally, I found a shirt I liked at a thrift store.

I fell in love with this shirt.  It is a western shirt which tag is read " Ely Cattleman."  Not sure how old it is, but it is a nice vintage shirt.  The color is lovely, and it is very flowery!  I was very much satisfied with this purchase.
I couldn't find nice matal necklaces, yet I found those.

6 flowery ties that are very suited for spring!  Ties were not something I'd had on my mind originally, but they'd work.
Now, I must go home and try everything I found today.  I'm really excited, and I believe I can enjoy spring time!!

Art Day!

It is still in the middle of March, and outside temperature is 74°F.  If the weather stays like this, there is going to be no more "coat days!"  I'm hoping for one more cold days, so I can put on a coat one last time.
Anyways, I am going to visit a local art musium at last.  I've wanted to go there, but something has always come up, and I've had to postpone it till today.
I got the perfect shirt for this occasion.

This is a 70's Nik Nik Disco shirt with a print of Picasso's painting (or just a lookalike).   When you are going to visit an art museum, you cannot go wrong with this shirt!!

So, this was the look of the day.  I was wearing the shirt with 80's Dolce & Gabbana jacket, D&G damaged jeans, and a pair of Tony Lama lizard skin boots.  I put on a skinny red tie as a finishing touch.
I was ready to rock'n roll!

The museum was quite pleasent.  There, I could see the collction of African American art that was flood of vivid colors.  As I was strolling through, the museum staff was following me everywhere.  He must have liked my shirt.
Those statues in the picture above were the most bizarre yet mysterious objects I've ever seen.  They made me feel that little back yard of the museum was their world and I was the alien.  That was spooky.
It was a very much fun day.  I have to go visit other museums, for it would be inspiring.

Spring Is Near

I had to kill some time for my haircut appointment, so I was at a shopping mall just looking around.  It's already March, and soon,  it is going to be officially spring!
I guess I'd enjoy winter fashion while I can.  It will be too hot  to wear coats and jackets in a month or so.

I could see spring in all the displays in the mall.  This one was at Louis Vuitton.  It made me want to wear LV shoes and go out in a warm spring day.  I love those loafers.  They are all very elegant.  Marc Jacobs has done nice job.
I had to force myself to go, or I'd keep staring at the shoes.

On the other side of the mall, a beatiful art project was going on.  It was the project by a Korean artist Gyun Hur.  This silk flower rainbow surely will brighten up the mall.  It wan't done when I saw it, but I will come back and see  the completed art work.

Finally, I got my haircut, and this shot was taken right after that.  I was wearing D&G denim/camo jacket, BCBG t-shirt, Levis Type-1 jeans, and Nike Total 90 Shift sneaker. The sunglasses were Dior Punk by Jonh Galliano.
I really want to thank my hair style for great job she does.  She is the best!!

Look Before You Leap!

By now you know I like to shop at thrift stores.  Sometimes I can find nice thing with reasonalble price.  The downside of thrift shopping is items are not always in pristine condition.

This is a Christian Dior tie I got this afternoon.  As you can see, it's damaged.  I noticed the damage after I'd come home!!  It was very careless of me that I had not checked the condition of the tie.
So, learn from it.  Always check the items before you pay.
Anyways, it's too late now.  The good part is the damage is not noticeable when I wear the tie, and I really like the coloe and design of it.  It took me about an hour, but I fixed the damage.

Now, it is in wearble condition, and I can enjoy it!

I tried the tie on a vintage Dior shirt.  Worn with 80s' taxido jacket, GAP pants, vintage Tony Lama western boots, and a Gucci straw hat.
The fixed part is completely hidden, and nobody would see it unless I slip my mouth.
So, let's keep it secret between me and the readers!!
