My Grandma's Fur Coat--part2

Alright!  I'm back to finish this.  Sorry for taking so long.  I'd done re-stitching openings, and I thought that was hard enough.  Replacing the lining was even harder!!
This is what I use as the replacement of the old lining, a polyester shirt I got at a thrift store.   I cut off the collar, took out all the bottons, and used it as a lining.  This usually does the trick.

Then I pinned this new lining on the coat and started hand sewing.  One thing I didin't realize was when I hand sew hard materials, like leather, it takes plyers to pull the needle out.  It took me forever!!  I don't bother telling what I went through, but after breaking 2 needles, It was finally done.

It was a time consuming task, but I'm very happy that I did it.  This coat is wearble again after all.

I love how this coat fits.  It's georgeous, and it keeps me warm in winter time.  I'm really thankful to grandma for this wanderful Christmas gift.
